Co-production and strengths-based practice: Leaders' Briefing (2020)
Co-production means that people with lived experience take an equal role in the design of policy and services, and that they are partners in the creation and delivery of those services. This briefing will give an overview of co-production from the basic theory to how it can work in organisations on all levels, considering its importance for people who use services, practitioners, service providers and commissioners. This will be considered through a strength-based lens, and this briefing will focus on how co-production can support outcomes focused, person-centred approaches to social care.
