Leaders’ Forum: Evidence-informed leadership

Leaders’ Forum: Evidence-informed leadership

The NCVO (National Council for Voluntary Organisations) Society Building 8 All Saints Street London N1 9RL

09:30 - 16:00 Wednesday, 2 December 2026

Overview

In the 30 years since Research in Practice was formed in 1996, evidence use in social care policy and practice has developed significantly. It is no longer a point of discussion as to whether the use of evidence is important. Nevertheless, the ‘what’ and the ‘how’ of evidence-informed leadership and system development are subjects of evolving debate.

With diversity, equity and inclusion, rigour and relevance as cross-cutting themes, Leaders' Forum will use a mix of panels, presentations and discussion to explore the generation and use of different forms of evidence in leading adaptive system design.

The Research in Practice annual Leaders' Forum brings together Directors, Assistant Directors and strategic managers from across our Partner network to debate, learn and reflect together.

Leaders' Forum will take place on 2 December at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) in London. This will be a one-day, in-person only event.
